Sponsor a Child

We believe that education is the primary means for children to escape the cycle of poverty which grips their families. For less than a dollar a day, you can provide a child with the opportunity of a lifetime!

D’s mother is illiterate and his father has minimal literacy. His mother works selling postcards and dried squid and does not earn enough to afford his school fees for 1st grade. He has three older siblings that work hard in school. Having those positive older role models give him great potential for success if sponsored.

Most of these children would not be in school at all if it were not for a sponsor like you! School sponsorship covers tuition, books, school supplies, uniforms, and school lunch when needed. Read more details About Child Sponsorship!

There are 3 ways to sponsor a child:

  • a check mailed to Families In Vietnam (Contact Us for the mailing address)
  • a donation via PayPal each year
  • automatic monthly credit card donations via PayPal

D’s family returned to the countryside in order to improve the environment for their children. D’s oldest sister dropped out of high school and we want to make it possible for D to stay in school in spite of great pressure to work to support his family. With sponsorship, he can start 6th grade this fall. Would you like to provide him with this opportunity?
